Training and Educational Role of Police in the Fight Against Organizes Crime - VŠUP Experiences

Abstract

Ogranized crime emerged in Serbia in the last decade of the XX century. Because its tight links with the structures of the state its existence was not officialy recognized until the democratic changes in October 2000. In accordance with this in the system of police education issue of organized crime was pretty ignored. Changes in social environment and return of Serbia in international community makes necessary preconditions for enabling members of police force and other parts of security mechanism through courses and seminars for adequate reasponses on this moust serious security challenge that is Serbian society facing. It is necessary that Police College find proper place in this task.
